Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna FL
February 12th
We went camping at a state park in Marriana FL,
Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna FL for 3 days. We wanted to do the Cave tour but we will have to do it one at a time cause Ziva cant go in. Which turned out great anyway.
On our way
Setting up camp. This campground was very nice, and very popular, so book ahead. We also had Electric and water, some of the sites had full hookups. Have beer now and a fire, then gonna cook some weiners in a bit (but not the Ziva kind).
February 13th
Ahhh. it's a good morning
We all slept very good and now Ziva is saying it is time to get up
I am so glad we did the Cave tour even tho we had to go separately, it was awesome and well worth $8 AND Brenda the gift shop manager watched Ziva in between, Buds tour left at 11am and mine at noon. Buds tour ran late.. got pics of her and Ziva at end.
WEAR GOOD shoes because it is slippery inside, I had my motorcycle boots on but they have awesome treads. Also be prepared to walk bent over in places. You can easily bang your head if you are not careful.

And the best part, Brenda works in the gift shop, Buds tour was late getting back so Brenda offered to babysit so I would not miss my trip. Bud came back about 10 minutes after I left and Brenda said she was awesome and that she had so much fun with her.
After the tour we went into town for a few supplies then back to the campsite to relax.
Was a bit chilly this night but Ziva is all snuggled up and keeping warm...
February 14th
We always have a day to check out the bars and restaurants in the area. Well we went in search of a bar, found one 25 minutes away, Midgets Lounge, headed there but took wrong turn and went 30 minutes the wrong way. On way back found this place, $3 beers and awesome wings, Mayes Seafood & Oyster Bar. They do not have a website but you can find the address on google, they are in Marianna. We were able to sit on the deck right in front with Ziva.
Now to see if we can find Midgets Lounge. They too do not have a website but you can google directions. It is located at 13437 Highway 167, Fountain, FL. It is way out in the boondocks but it is an awesome place, biker friendly, awesome people. We had to sit at the outside bar with Ziva but we were with others and everyone was so friendly and all loved Ziva including the owner.
So we had another awesome time. Next month, March, is Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon, FL. So come back and travel with us...
