Aug 13 Mesa Verde

Day 2 at the Mesa Verde Natl Park, and what an awesome day. I love this place, I could ride thru here every day and see it differently.  

Today we went to the Wetherill Mesa and we walked the self guided tour to the Step House Cliff Dwelling. They said it was one mile round trip but it sure felt a lot longer. And the trail descended 100 feet. Going there was not bad, long walk with lots of stairs, coming back (we made the whole circle trail around the dwellings) we had no stairs but lots of sun and uphill walking. But we made it, drank a big bottle of gator ade before starting and drank a big bottle of water on the walk.

Aug 8 Honeyville

Went to Hermosa Co to see the Honey Distillery yes I bought honey and other stuff LOL. It is called Honeyville and we tried the honey whiskey but did not like them but then again I don’t like whiskey. Now the honey, Apple cinnamon whip, jalapeño jelly and the honey peanut butter are all great and we bought them all.

After we left Honeyville we went a little north to see what bakers bridge was. Out of the way but plenty of people there enjoying it. 

Aug 6 Mesa Verde

Finally made it to Mesa Verde National Park but need a second day, went to the Chaplin Mesa and next ride will do the Wetherill Mesa Road. Also want to do a couple of tours too.

Aug 5 Dolores CO

Went to Dolores River Bar and Cortez Blondies,

And final stop Mancos the Columbine Bar
