These photos were taken 2 days before Easter.

We spent Easter camping at Anastasia State Park in Saint Augustine, FL. Only 2 days here but another good trip to plan for the big one.

We setup on Easter Sunday.  Park is awesome but so far all of Floridas parks are great.

New for our tent is the L shaped awning. Plenty of shade and a nice place to park bike under cover.

Yes we have fire pits here and they sell wood at the store for $6.75 a bundle, a little more than we wanted to spend but oh well.

We walked to the beach, not a long walk but a nice one. Now sign and rules say no pets on beach, my thinking that it did not say boardwalk just beach so we did walk with Ziva over the long boardwalk and did see the beach which is huge. 

A quick selfie and back we go. 

Nice night here, quiet and cool. I thought I heard something last night but went back to sleep. Next morning made coffee, beautiful weather. Then I noticed our black storage bucket was cracked open on one side, thought I did not close it all way, and I put a heavy tool pouch on top of cover. Well long story made short, went to get our cereal out of bucket for breakfast, hummmm, no breakfast, no Hamburg rolls, no Chex mix ???  Looked around and found what was left in woods...  Camping lesson #1 better storage for food LOL

Our breakfast, save the bowls but bag with cereal was chewed so chucked the rest. Yogurt will have to do.

Outside seating and very pet friendly after her ice water Ziva needed a nap. 

Next stop was the San Sebastian Winery. Found a nice wine I like and prices were not bad.  Love the saying on this t-shirt.

I think it will take time to get used to them. UPDATE: it is now January 2019 and she still does not like them. She does like her Pet Palace and when she rides in my arms she will bury her head under my shirt but once the motorcycle slows down her head pops up and she wants to look around.

Rainbow Springs State Park

We have an awesome site at the Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon Florida .  This will be the last camping trip with this motorcycle, we just got a Harley Tri-Glide (trike).  It was cold last night but we stayed warm.  Still fine tuning the list of essentials needed for the big trip but just camping around Florida is awesome because so far the state parks here are awesome. We rode to Crystal River today, if you ride route 44 to the end you will be at the beach.

Then we went down route 98 to the High Octane Bar and Grill for lunch and beer. Ziva was welcomed there. Had a great lunch.  click here

After lunch we went to the Crystal River Harley before heading back toward the campground. We wanted to stop at a place in Dunnellon  called Swampys. Our lunch was good but we wished we had eaten here everything looked awesome but our beers were nice and cold and there was no problem having Ziva there in the outside section. And this place was right on the river so we could sit there and watch all the canoes, kayaks and boats go by.

Back at the campground now, so wish we had booked 2 more days, so many things to do over here. And we found out that there are 2 bald eagles that hang out in a tree behind our site, I can see one of them but the pic I took cannot zoom in close enough.

Headed home Wens morning, came over Route 40 and went home Route 44. Stopped in Eustis for lunch at the Crazy Gator and the food, service, view, dang everthing was awesome including the price.
And Ziva was treated great on the deck.
