We are camping at Days End Campground in Sturgis and we are pleased with this campground. We are staying here until Monday and we put the awning for the tent up only to come back and find it blown down, lesson learned.

This morning we left and headed to Deadwood SD & we went down historic main st.
Outside of deadwood Deadwood is a long ride thru the Black Hills National Forest and so far it is just forest not a lot of scenery other than trees but lots of small towns and campgrounds. The scenery got a lot better just before and after Mount Rushmore on rt 244.
We left Mount Rushmore and went to Crazy Horse Momument and when we got there I realized I did not have my pocket book. DANG. At Mount Rushmore when we got back to the bike I laid my fanny pack on the fender of the bike (trike, left it on right side fender) and we were looking at the map and got on bike and,,,, Oh Yes, forgot about the fanny pack. So we very rapidly went back to Mount Rushmore, I ran to find out where lost and found was. Was told information center, there I was told visitor center, got up the walk way and saw food stands... Walked up to 2 rangers and asked where the lost and found department was, they said below where we were talking. I told them I need to find out if anyone found a fanny pack and he said "are you Juanita", my heart went nuts. Some very nice person turned it in and they were looking for me too. Got it back everything inside, nothing missing.
Then we went Needles Highway and Custer state Park and then the Wildlife road for an adventure with Buffalos. (some of the Needles Highway pics are at bottom, my cell phone died and used Buds).
Our Buffalo adventure was on the Wildlife Loop Road in Custers State Park.
This huge guy walked out into the road like he owned it, well he probably does, and he did stop and look back at us. And he was in no hurry. Once he crossed the bridge he finally moved off the road.

But when he moved off the road he laid down in a dirt pile and started rolling around. The car in front of us stopped just ahead of him and there were other vehicles coming the other way. We were right beside him, on a motorcycle, and worried if he did not like the loud mufflers he might get up. We were only about 20 feet from him with no protection. Buddy finally tooted and the car moved so we could go around.
Further down the road we came upon a herd of them and they were crossing the road in front of us. We started to back up because we were not sure what they would do with the sound of the bike.
Then we finally decided to try to move thru the herd, dang that was quite scary too. I just kept saying keep moving LOL
