June 9th took I10 to Days Inn Deming NM. And we had to stop at the Barnett Harley Davidson in El Paso Tx.
And gotta love my helmet head hairdo.
June 9th: the desert west of Deming, NM to Texas Canyon AZ. We got lunch sandwiches and stopped at a rest area in New Mexico to eat.
June 9th We left Deming and headed west to Mesa Az and Betsy's.
Some nice and different scenery in Texas Canyon AZ. And while going thru this area a news crew went by us, then slowed down, got behind us again and when they passed us this time they were taping. I guess we might be famous somewhere and dont even know it LOL. This area has quite a history, and was quite beautiful, the scenery was very different. Read more about Texas Canyon Az HERE
Made it to Betsys now to chill out, relax in the shade...
June 10 Betsy showed us around the area and what fun we had.
1st: to the Infusion Coffee and Tea Crafters in Tempe AZ to see how they make their coffee.
2nd to a bar/grill next door called the Four Peaks Brewing Company, a great place.
3rd stop is Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson in Phoenix Az.
4th Stop was a place called the World Famous Horny Toad, had to get T-Shirts and a beer. Food smelled great but we were going to Harolds to eat, but will come back here someday.
5th stop was at Harolds to eat dinner. Harolds Cave Creek Corral, great food and service too.
Betsy made us feel right at home, without the pizza, (little private joke there). Had a great day with her but time to rest up because we head for California tomorrow.
